I am currently at the hyatt, I wanted a big , classically luxurious beach resort and this is it. some reviewers said outdated even tired , if you want slick and lively stay at w hotel in seminyak. this place for what it aims to do nails it. the hotel is set in a massive manicured jungle of pools, ponds , and pavilions. a number of different dining options, bars etc to please all tastes. it's all very high quality in terms of food and service , this obviously come at a price yet still by five star standards it's reasonable. the clientele is older European and some families and not any bintang t- shirts in sight.
Sanur is a fairly quiet low key resort and the hotel reflects this. the rooms are very comfortable and have all the amenities one could imagine for a hyatt. the breakfast was amazing international buffet style with an abundance of everything. the beach for bali standards is not to bad. overall if you wanted a big old style hotel too relax in without having to worry about a thing this is it.
ps. spent last night watching movies in bed , wanted a late night snack of steak , salad and fries; and voila a knock at the door 20 mins. thankyou hyatt. service with a smile

My wife and I stayed at the Bali Hyatt 12-21 Feb. If you want glitz and modernity don't go. If you want the real Bali this is it. In 30 acres of tropical gardens, immaculately kept, full of flowers, tropical flowering trees,,birds, squirrels and more. There is a serenity which is hard to beat.
The staff are superb. Every guest is greeted by every staff member they pass, and all the staff wear a smile Nothing is too much for them.
The beach is clean though the water is a bit shallow at low tide. There are great numbers of sunshades and sunbeds and large-leafed.trees for shade in the grounds-towels are provided and there are numerous swimming pools. Breakfast is in a large cool airy building, as are other meals, though there are dozens of very adequate (and cheap) cafes in the main road and along the beach providing good local food.
The bedrooms are in three four storey blocks. They are a little dated but have all facilities and are very well kept by the staff who are always on hand. The blocks must have been incongrous in early days but now are covered with flowering climbers.Tip. A ground floor room gives you a patio from which you can walk into the garden (and feed the birds and squirrels) rather than a small-ish balcony. My wife and I have made 5 holidays at the hotel, and will make more- the Bali Hyatt is unique.

Stayed four nights and found it extremely relaxing. The welcome drink, frangipani necklace and seated check in were a great beginning, followed by a room upgrade. The rooms, though slightly dated, were spacious and well-equipped, with very comfortable beds. We liked the generosity of simple things, like fresh fruit in the room and at the towel counter, 4 or 5 bottles of water in the room instead of the usual two and a very large selection of tea bags, always replenished. Staff were extremely friendly and professional. There were plenty of sun lounges and the hotel had a policy of no reserving them before lunchtime, so there was not the ridiculous 6 am dash that we've experienced elsewhere. Both pools were a decent size for real swimming. Breakfast was the usual buffet feast with a few extras like individual tea plungers with Earl Grey or other choices, all served in a stunning setting.Good lunch food served around the pool as well as little eateries nearby. Really loved the 40 acres of tropical gardens along the beachfront - these days they would build multiple hotels in such a vast space. Take some time to explore all the paths.

Stayed here for 6nights, wanted a bit of luxury and that's what we got. Rooms were lovely and the beds a linen were beautiful. The staff were excellent and I enjoyed the pool bar.
The lunch time food at the pool restaurant was really nice but I had an evening meal there and thought it was low quality. The rest of the food and drinks though we're great and it would be good if they did an all inclusive option.
Would definitely stay again if I went back!

I have some difficulty analysing why this place is so special to us particularly as we have stayed in many stunning places over the years but this one is certainly very special. Our third Bali Hyatt experience, our son and his family were with us on this occasion and we were hoping they would enjoy their much needed holiday and find the Hyatt special too. Well this visit exceeded all expectations and it just seems that we were all truly welcome as their guests.

The staff are so lovely, the service unobtrusive, and yet ever present, and the location is just perfect. The dining choices were many and the food was beautiful. In such a large and well designed complex it is possible to chat with others or wile away the day almost alone if you need to. Plenty of beach towels and pool space, a play pool and playground for the little one and grounds in which to wander and savour the smell of frangipanis and other exotic plants. We had everything we needed in our room which was well serviced and spacious. We find the Balinese "flavour" of the hotel and grounds so peaceful and relaxing. Thank you Hyatt for a family holiday dream come true.

Just returned from our fifth visit to this hotel and found it to be as good as ever. Stayed in a club room which was spacious, with balcanies on two sides, well appointed and very clean. Service in the Regency clud was the very best, efficient and friendly, really cannot speak too highly of the staff. We will definitely be back

This hotel is in my mind as close as I can come to Paradise. At least on this earth. There are severa reasons to this. Everything in the hotel is planned in the way that you know that you are in the tropic. The lobby is "outdoor", the restaurants are "outdoor", you are going to your room "outdoor"... The hotel is surrounded by a huge tropical garden, not to say park, which is maintained till perfection. And above all; the staff. You can't find better. You really feel that they try to make your stay someting positive to remember.
Ther are two (big) pools to swim in and the beach is just beside the hotel. The strand promenade is passing the hotel and you can rent bikes from the hotel make a tour along the promenade without risk your life in the traffic on streets. You have several good restaurants in the hotel if you don't want to "go out", but you have also the best restaurants in Sanur just beside the hotel if that is what you like. Anything negative? Not really.
If I have to say something, I probanly can say that the rooms are not of the standard that you can find in the newest hotels, but they are charming, they are clean, and surely much better than what a lady tried to explain in "Tripadvisor" some time ago. Her comments told more about her selves than about the hotel.

This hotel (or actually hotel complex) was a wonderful experience. We stayed here the first three nights of our Bali holiday and enjoyed the hotel amenities. Rooms were nice, but bathrooms could have been higher standard for this price. The buffet breakfast was amazing, with all styles of food options available (and good bread, which was rare during the rest of our Bali stay).

The pools were fantastic, with a nice pool bar in one of them. The nearby beach was nice, but as in all locations on Bali, unfortunately, there were (a few) plastic bags and bottles in the sea.

I'd highly recommend this hotel. The only con is the price, which is I find high by Bali standards.
